BWC Transitioning to New Ownership

Ladies and gentlemen, customers, and fiends,

I have some big news to share—Bangor Wine is transitioning to new ownership! Christine and I have cherished every moment of stewarding Bangor Wine & Cheese since we first opened the doors in November of '09. Over the past fifteen years, we've shared thousands of bottles, countless pounds of cheese, and the privilege of getting to know you, your families, and even your Aunt Martha, who "only drinks oaky Chard." Now, as we pass the torch to Annie Cutler, I'm thrilled to announce that she plans to not only continue the Wine Club but also introduce a larger monthly option for those looking for even more variety. Annie will also expand the store's offerings, keeping its legacy alive while enhancing your shopping experience.

With this transition, the shop will close for renovations starting in January. As a result, you have the option to participate in a January Wine Club along with December's, with wines delivered this month ahead of the temporary closure. There's no pressure to join for January—if you opt out, the new team will seamlessly restart the club in February. Either way, I'll ensure you receive the appropriate Tasting Notes once final numbers are tallied.

Additionally, we regret to announce that the Beer Club will be closing as part of the transition. While this is bittersweet, we are confident that Annie's exciting new offerings will provide plenty of reasons to visit the store and explore all it has to offer.

As we prepare to say goodbye, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. Your support, patronage, and friendship have made these years so special. Our last day at Bangor Wine will be December 31st, closing at 2pm for the transition. Please come by to say hello/goodbye, and be sure to show Annie and her team the same love you've shown us. I know she'll reward you in droves. Thank you for everything, and as always, be well.
